Do you require a membership fee to participate in Drop Shipping?

Initially, we offer our drop ship program to all new customers for a 90-day free trial period. Once the trial period is over, we provide the option to upgrade to a membership of choice, with options of silve, gold & platinum.

Silver starts at $30/month, Gold at $75/month & Platinum at $125/month. Each membership level has its own set of perks. To learn more, visit our dropship introduction section.
What is included in the Silver, Gold & Platinum drop ship membership levels?

Silver membership allows you to add up to 1000 SKUs to your website. It has all the basic features of the drop ship program. Basic Packing Slip, 1-5 business days processing time.

Gold membership allows you to add up to 2000 SKUs to your website. It has all the basic features of the drop ship program. It also includes Custom Packing Slip, Custom API Inventory Feed, 5% off on Shipping & Sku Pricing. 1-3 business days processing time.

Platinum membership has all the features you need to scale your business. Supports 3000 Skus, International Shipping, Custom API Inventory Feed, 10% off on Shipping & SKU Pricing.1 business day processing time.

Your membership fee is charged on a monthly basis and you may cancel at any time. If you choose to cancel, any subscription fees already paid are non-refundable and your account will remain active until the end of the paid subscription period.
Are there any other fees besides the monthly membership fee and shipping fee?
No. There are no additional fees. The basic starting fee to become a member of our drop ship program is $30 per month, that's it! It gives you all the benefits of our Silver membership, to which you can upgrade in the future if you so desire.
Does Quintessence Jewelry store my credit card information on file?

No credit card information is ever stored on our servers. We use Stripe.com, one of the most secure and reputable payment processors available. Our website complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). Stripe has been audited by an independent PCI Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and is certified as a PCI Level 1 Service Provider. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. Stripe forces HTTPS for all services using TLS (SSL).

All card numbers are encrypted on disk with AES-256. Decryption keys are stored on separate machines. None of Stripe's internal servers and daemons are able to obtain plaintext card numbers; instead, they can just request that cards be sent to a service provider on a static whitelist. Stripe's infrastructure for storing, decrypting, and transmitting card numbers runs in separate hosting infrastructure and doesn't share any credentials with Stripe's primary services (API, website, etc.).

Quintessence Jewelry never sees (or has access to) your credit card data at all. When payment information is collected, it is securely transmitted directly to Stripe without it passing through our servers, so you can rest assured that your credit card information is safe.

Your credit card info is stored with Strip in full encryption so that we can bill you for the products you order. Remember, as your customers pay you the retail cost of the products, you will need to pay the drop shipper for the wholesale cost of the products to be shipped. It is easier for the drop shipper to simply bill your credit card on a recurring basis so that there are no delays.
Do I need a tax id or reseller number to sell products from Quintessence Jewelry?
Yes, in fact in order to buy from most reputable drop shippers, you will need to provide your tax id number. If your business is established in New York, we will need your NY resale number too, as we the wholesale drop shipper needs to show proof to the statement government authorities that we can sell to you without charging you sales tax.
Does Quintessence Jewelry require a minimum order requirement for the Drop Ship Program?
No, we do not. There is no minimum order requirement for our drop ship program. You can add as many products you wish to your drop ship partner panel once your account is activated.
How do I cancel my drop ship membership?
We would really hate to see you go! However please email us at support@quintessencejewelry.com with your request to cancel your membership and we shall respond with a confirmation.

For Retailers

Will Quintessence provide product data & pictures for my website?
Yes, we will supply you with product data and images in multiple views, for you to upload into your retail backend panel of your webstore and/or marketplace. Please let us know if you have any specific requirements and we shall make every effort in our delivery.
Do we provide MSRP prices for our Jewelry products?
We do provide MSRP prices to all our drop ship customers once they start adding products to their partner panel.
What kind of profit margins can I make with drop shipping?
As a general rule of thumb, many wholesale companies will give a retailer between 25-75% discounts off suggested retail pricing (MSRP). The final agreed pricing model is between you and the wholesale distribution company.We provide MSRP prices to all our drop ship customers once they start adding products to their partner panel.
As a retailer, should my customer pay me first before I pay the drop-shipper?
Absolutely! We highly recommend you to collect your customer's payment in full for the orders they are placing, before placing those same orders with us, for us to drop ship.
What is a Minimum Advertised Price Policy (MAP)?
This is the lowest price you are allowed to advertise our products for sale at. A map policy is in place to prevent products from being sold below their wholesale price.
Do you offer discounts for your drop ship program?
We do not offer any discounts off the wholesale price for our drop ship products. All products are sold at regular wholesale prices on our website as it is strictly for the Jewelry trade.
Do you restrict the sale of your products on any marketplaces?
No, we do not. We encourage our drop ship customers to list our products across any legal online marketplace platform of their choosing.
Do I need to be proficient with any software or computer programs before applying for your dropship program?
You do not need to be proficient with any software to use our cloud based drop shipping application. We do recommend basic to intermediate knowledge of MS Excel , as ourproduct data feeds and order sheet(s) are provided in excel and comma delimited (.CSV) format.If you do not have Microsoft Excel on your computer and/or are not proficient with Excel then you will not be able to submit orders and upload our products. Therefore, we strongly recommend working with a partner that knows Excel and is familiar with some basic level of e-commerce, which can only be to your advantage.

Shipping & Delivery

What shipping methods do you offer for drop shipping and what are the charges?

There are no additional drop ship fees besides the membership fee for the orders we drop ship on your behalf. You only pay the membership fee.

Having said that, when you send us the drop ship order via the drop ship panel, you have the option of choosing various preferred shipping carriers as to how you want each individual drop ship order to be shipped to your end customer(s). The respective shipping fee is attached to your order, and you would be liable to pay for the shipping fees when you finally submit your drop ship order(s) to us.

Do you drop ship to international destinations?
Yes, we do drop ship orders to international destinations. Currently we only support drop shipping to Canada & Mexico, but are adding more international destinations gradually to our international drop ship portfolio.
How quickly do you ship an order once it has been placed?
Orders that arrive before 11am EST typically go out the same day. Orders that arrive after 11am EST typically go out the next business day. Shipping and payment confirmations may cause delays.
How long is the shipping & delivery process once a drop ship order is placed?
Once our shipping department receives your order, they will process and ship your order in accordance with the time frame set forth in your membership plan. Tracking information will be emailed back to you as well, furthermore, shall be updated in your drop ship partner panel for you to access any time. Thus, you can always inform your customers as well on all outbound shipments.
What is your dropship return policy?

We have a 30-day return policy on products which we drop-ship directly to your end-customers. In the event a product becomes defective by your customer and he/she intends on returning it for either a refund, repair or replacement, you, the drop shipper can handle the returns back to us, the supplier, by the following method:

You would need to decide how you intend on getting the defective product(s) shipped back to us, the supplier, for either a refund and/or replacement. If you haven't already created a returns & refund policy for your dropshipping store yet, now would be a good time to begin with it. Create a separate page dedicated to the Returns Policy on your store. Even though we have mentioned a 30-day return policy, you should keep it lesser. Say, 20-25 days to give additional time to you and your end-customer for any shipment delays or sending the refund package back to you.

Make sure to mention the acceptable reasons for return. Even if we are flexible with the returns, you don't have to do the exact same thing. You can mention "All sales are final except when the product is sent wrong or damaged." This will help you deal with returns better when already stated clearly in your dropshipping store returns policy. This will help to build the trust of a prospective buyer in your brand. While formulating your policies, try to make them as similar to ours as possible. Make the return process as easy for them as possible. You can opt to pay for the return shipping costs and get the return label for them as well, if possible and/or have them pay for the return shipping back to you, to ultimately get the return shipment delivered to our location, for processing.

Please bear in mind that we may not always have a replacement piece(s) ready in-stock as we are constantly moving our inventory. Having said that, if your customer desires a replacement, it would require approval from our returns department via email communication, and then we can inform you, the drop shipper, of the anticipated time it would take us to re-ship the replacement back to your end-customer. If the customer requires a repair, we the supplier, would first communicate the same with you and let you know of any additional charges of repair and process it only once you, the drop shipper, agrees to pay the repair charges to us.

An exceptional customer support by your team will go a long way in retaining customers for your dropshipping store and increasing your brand loyalty as well.
What is a blind drop-shipper?
A blind drop shipper will ship product to your customers, under your name only. They will not have any of their information (i.e. company name, address, advertising...etc.) on the products they send to your customers.

Drop Ship Basics

What is dropshipping?
Drop shipping is simply where the manufacturer or wholesale distributor ships orders received from the retailers website/selling channel, directly to your end customer(s) on your behalf. You, the retailer, are provided the product information such as such as product images, descriptions, detail specifications, so that you can use the data to customize your own data feed and import into your website management panel. Once you start receiving orders on your website, you can push those orders as drop ship orders to us via the panel we provide, in turn, we drop ship them directly to your end customers, and further, update you with order fulfilment details.
Why did you decide to start dropshipping?

The concept of drop shipping was influenced largely by the Just-In-Time (JIT) movement in manufacturing; the concept of a reduced inventory became popular as a cost reduction method. In turn, reduced inventory in factories resulted in a lower risk and cost savings. Likewise, the retail world embraced similar benefits of an "on-demand" type of supply chain with drop shipping methods.

Drop shipping with Quintessence Jewelry will allow the retailer to cut inventory, labor, packaging, and shipping costs. This will enable you to focus your efforts on marketing your business to new and existing customers.
What are the advantages of dropshipping?

There are many ways to benefit from drop shipping. Some of the advantages are as follows:

  • Overhead costs are cut significantly.
  • You get to set the retail price at whatever you want for nice profits.
  • There are no minimum order requirements.
  • You pay the wholesaler only after you receive an order.
  • No need to deal with inventory returns.
What are the disadvantages of dropshipping?

Someome of the disadvantages to drop shipping include:

  • The drop shipper is in control of when an item is shipped. Your order would be shipped in accordance with the time frame set forth in your membership plan.
  • Retailers must abide by minimum price requirements.
  • If an item is discontinued by the wholesaler, the retailer has no control and must take that item off their catalog or website.
  • Retailer must watch inventory feeds distributed by the wholesaler closely to ensure the products advertised for sale are in stock.
